Kevin Berryman • Bosky Genetics

What U Smokin On #7

This round, we’re highlighting Kevin Berryman and his pick, Kookieland (Dosidos × King Kandy (Forum Cookies × Candyland) an in-house bred cultivar that we’ve recently taken to F3 that speaks directly to another era of cannabis. For Kevin, Kookieland is about that sedative, couch-lock high most modern flower forgot, the kind that hits slow and heavy and plants you exactly where you’re sitting. It’s real weed with real weight behind it, and it hits like the OGs of yesteryear.

The profile is loud and unapologetic. Hashy, fuel-forward, and pungent in that in-your-face way, Kookieland doesn’t soften or sweeten itself for anyone. One rip tells the whole story. Kevin enjoys it through glass, where the flavor stays bold and honest, and the effects settle in deep.

From a processing standpoint, this plant stands out immediately. Tight, dense green nugs that are super easy to trim, resinous and consistent all the way through; it’s a phenomenal example of killer green bud. There’s real pride in knowing it’s bred in-house, a true Bosky expression that carries intention from start to finish.

Outside of work, Kevin’s usually with family, fishing for striped bass in the California Aqueduct, catching shows, and taking bong rips wherever life allows. Slipknot, Slayer, Metallica, and Pantera are all on rotation. He’s been with Bosky since 2023, making him one of the longest-tenured team members. His cannabis roots stretch back to the 215 days and the legacy era before that.

What keeps him locked in is getting to walk into the job he’s always dreamed of; working alongside some of the best cultivators in the space, helping process flower that reflects real care, experience, and respect for the plant. Cannabis runs deep in his family, and Kevin takes pride in carrying that forward in honor of his father, Big Kev, who has passed away and instilled in him a deep respect for the plant and the craft.

RIP Big Kev
