What U Smokin On #10

This is Austin – one of our cultivators, and this month’s pick for “What U Smokin’ On” is Point Break (Tropicanna Cookies x Trophy Wife).

Austin says Point Break is one of those plants that makes the job more fun. It’s a crazy heavy feeder with tight node spacing that stacks beautifully, dripping in resin and sparkling with trichomes every time you look at it. The structure doesn’t need much training—just a topping and some light defoliation—and she happily soaks up any and all nutrients you give her. The nose is playful and lively: super-bright, lemony, sour notes with an abundance of citrus that fills the room long before harvest. Finishing around day 60 of flower, it’s a compliant, cheerful plant that seems to love being grown as much as Austin loves growing it.

Outside the Bosky garden, Austin grows at home! His personal grow goes straight into fresh frozen, which he later washes into his own single-source live rosin using organic living soil he builds himself. His next round (which came down last night) features GMO, 1987 (Super Silver Haze x Super Lemon Haze), and a little Gumosa—all destined for the press.

When he’s not buried chest-deep in our grow, or gardening at home, you’ll probably find him near the water. A big beach guy at heart, Austin’s favorite spot is Avila Beach—his go-to place to reset and soak in some solitude. He’s also an artist through and through, with deep roots in graffiti and a vast appreciation for all forms of creative expression.

Austin says working at Bosky gives him the space to blend passion with craft—to push boundaries, learn new things, keep elevating the plant in every form it takes, and (most importantly) bump Sade at full volume with zero judgment. Thanks Austin, for being part of our team!
