What U Smokin On #9

Meet Keith – one of our cultivators, and this month’s pick for “What U Smokin’ On” is Gumosa (Black Bubblegum 33 x Mimosa), bred by Xeno Seed Company.

For Keith, Gumosa stands out because it’s a pheno the Bosky team hunted in-house. This pack was quickly narrowed down to seven females; then the last three phenotypes were carefully watched until the final cut was selected and finalized for production. The result is a vibrant-smelling and heavy-feeder that’s as fun to grow as it is to enjoy.

What Keith loves most are the terpenes—bright, candy-adjacent notes with a playful edge that make Gumosa a little less polarizing than your classic Mimosa. Its aroma is nostalgic for him, bringing him back to when he first started smoking. Just before it finishes, Gumosa puts on a show, with deep black foliage that makes the plant striking to witness.

Outside of the Bosky garden, Keith is just as dedicated to the plant. He’s constantly working on his own catalog of genetics at home, trading and tracking down new varieties for fun. His outdoor hash plants are set to come down next week, and he’s already looking forward to pressing them into fresh live rosin.

When he’s not knee-deep in genetics, Keith is all about music. He’s a massive vinyl collector with crates full of classics and fresh finds alike. You can often catch him spinning records on his turntables, bringing the same passion to music that he does to cultivation.
