Point Break
Our Point Break phenos came to us through our friends at Oakfruitland, who were gifted the original Surfer Seeds genetics. These genetics made serious noise across California, and once we got them in the room, it was easy to understand why.
We received two phenos: the famous bright orange and tangerine-leaning Point Break cut, and a second expression that pushed deeper into lemon peel, citrus zest, and gas. Both show off why Point Break has become such a standout in the modern citrus terp lane, with loud aromatics, robust flavor, and a bright, unmistakable personality. Across both expressions, the look, the nose, the flavor, and the effect all hit the mark, but the orange-leaning cut is the one that fortified our obsession with this lineage.
Bred from Tropicana Cookies x Trophy Wife, Point Break carries the kind of genetic chemistry that makes a cultivar feel instantly recognizable. Tropicana Cookies brings that loud citrus backbone, pushing bright orange, tangerine, and peel-forward aromatics, while Trophy Wife adds structure, potency, and a deeper layer of gas. Together, they create a profile that feels both electric and grounded: citrus up front, fuel underneath, and an effect that hits with real presence.
The effect is soaring, energetic, and heady, with a numbing lift that settles behind the eyes without dragging the body down. It reminds us of that almost-forgotten “medicine” from years past: clear, potent, deeply felt, and made for more than just flavor. Point Break has that old-school therapeutic quality while still smoking bright, loud, and modern. This cultivar holds the crown for the best modern expression of orange and tangerine terpenes.
